Featured Activities

Festivities, Food and Family Fun

Local non-profit organizations will be tabling along West Olive Ave. to share their expertise on environmental protection. Visit the community booths to learn about sustainable actions such as electrifying your home and starting a compost. Enjoy live entertainment at the amphitheater in the redwood grove with lunch served on reusable foodware. 

Other event highlights include: 

  • Sustainable arts and crafts for kids    
  • Guided tours of the beautiful trees on campus 
  • Lunch and dessert from local food trucks

Strategy 2: Decarbonizing Buildings is about reducing dependence on fossil fuels such as gas to power our homes and businesses. At the Earth Day Festival, attendees can learn about how the City is electrifying its buildings and access resources to make energy-efficient upgrades and switch from gas to electric appliances.

Strategy 2: Decarbonizing Buildings & Strategy 3: Decarbonizing Transportation & Sustainable Land Use both set us on the path to becoming a community less dependent on fossil fuels. At the event, learn about electric vehicles (EVs), EV charging and alternative forms of transportation. Reduce your carbon footprint and bike to the event. Leave your bike at the free bike valet and enjoy the event hands-free!
